Gilchrist & Soames BeeKind

December 28-30, 2012, the boy and I went to Portland, Oregon for a short (and tax-free) trip.  In the corresponding haul post, I mentioned that our hotel gave these as their complimentary toiletries:

• Gilchrist & Soames BeeKind Shampoo
• Gilchrist & Soames BeeKind Conditioner
• Gilchrist & Soames BeeKind Shower Gel
• Gilchrist & Soames BeeKind Body Lotion
• Gilchrist & Soames BeeKind Skincare Bar

The samples are generous, at 30 mL each.

Scent:
They all have sort of the same scent.  It smells like Canada Dry ginger ale with a wedge of fresh lime; fresh citrus scent with a bit of gingery spice.  The BeeKind line is supposed to contain honey and certified organic extracts of red clover, calendula, lemongrass, and chamomile.

Shampoo:

• clarifying
• leaves the hair a tiny bit dry
• doesn't lather up much

Conditioner:

• light formula
• doesn't leave hair feeling greasy

Shower Gel:

• very nice and refreshing
• not very moistuizing
• not drying
  
  Would not purchase, nothing special

Body Lotion:

• super light formula
• very fast drying (I don't need to wait around before dressing)
• no grease or residue on skin
• keeps body moisturized until next shower
  
  Loved it, all time best body lotion. I'm looking into buying it. It's decently priced at $15 USD for 8 oz.

Skincare Bar:

• typical of hotel soaps
• a bit drying
  
  Would not purchase

Apparently, all of these are part of their BeeKind Jet Set Travel Pack.  It's $12 CAD if you wanted to try out any of the products in this post.

I noticed that they have a Zero% line, where there's zero sulfates, zero parabens, zero phthalates, zero artificial colours, and zero animal testing.  I'm interested.
